Current planning applications
Current planning applications on which you can comment are listed on the Trinity Matters web site, together with links to details on the East Devon District Council web site, where you can also make comments online. You can also see recently granted or rejected applications. (To find other applications not listed there, you can search on the EDDC planning site by date, location etc. - see below for a link.)
You can view the paperwork at the Axminster Guildhall Planning Office: 10.30 - 12.30 (Monday, Tuesday & Thursday), before the monthly meeting from 7pm onwards, or ask Councillor Peter Whiting to see it, by telephoning 01297 444174 for an appointment.
Please post or email a copy of any comments sent to EDDC regarding planning applications to the Parish Clerk.
Statistics for last year
The Chairman read out some statistics at the Annual Parish Meeting on 27th April 2011. There were 40 separate planning applications submitted in Uplyme from April 2010 - March 2011. Also nine sets of amended plans that had to be scrutinised. Of these, one was withdrawn, and one refused by EDDC. The remainder were all approved, some with conditions, and one split decision on a tree application.
Affordable housing
The affordable housing plans have been approved by EDDC officers. Link to details.
Planning Committee meetings
Planning meetings are occasionally held immediately before the regular Council meetings on the second Wednesday of the month; there may also be intermediate meetings if plans demand this. See the Post Office noticeboard (on the left side of the building) for details.
