Avian Influenza Alert

Avian Influenza is still on the increase and to try and prevent the spread the Government will be introducing a Housing Order as from the 14 December.  It is important that everyone including the Pet and backyard keepers adhere to this legislation and keep the birds housed or netted.

We would be very grateful if you could include the following information, which has been released by DEFRA, in your next parish magazine or alternative forms of communication that you may use, to advise and guide poultry keepers on their legal obligations.
