Annual Parish Assembly
Taking place this year at 7.00pm at the Village Hall, on 10th May 2023.
This is a meeting for parishioners! Receive updates about the Council’s performance over the past year, all the latest from local groups and community organisations and ask any of those burning questions you might have. See our FAQ’s and the Agenda for more information.

Council Meetings
Uplyme Parish Council normally meet on the second Wednesday of every month except August which is a holiday break. See the Meetings page for a full list. Council meetings are held at 7:15pm in the Village Hall, starting with an Open Forum where members of the public can ask questions or make observations.
The Planning Committee generally meets at 5pm on the fourth Wednesday of every month, but meeting dates may be altered depending on the number and timing of applications. Please see more information about the Council’s role in the process on the Planning page.
Other Committees meet as necessary, but at least annually. The Annual Parish Assembly (meeting for electors) meets in May each year – read more about how this differs from a Parish Council meeting – FAQs about Parish Assembly.
There is time for the public to ask questions or make observations at every Council or Committee meeting. Councillors also hold working meetings with public officials for information-gathering purposes, which are not generally open for efficiency reasons, and no decisions are ever taken in such meetings. Reports will always be available on the web site once approved.
The Agenda for the next meeting(s) will be published here a few days before each meeting, and is also posted on the Council Noticeboard at the Village Hall and the online Uplyme Village Noticeboard on Facebook. (All PDF files.) Supporting documents are sent to Councillors, and copies may be requested from the Clerk if required.
