Following the Notice for the Casual Councillor Vacancy on Uplyme Parish Council this position will now be filled by Co-option.
Would you like to become a Parish Councillor? As a Volunteer you would be a voice for your community, help shape the village for the future and influence decisions for the benefit of the people you serve.
Are you 18 years old, a UK citizen, an elector of the parish or in the last 12 months have occupied (as owner or tenant) land or other premises or work in the parish or do you live within 3 miles of the parish boundary? If YES, then you can apply to become a Parish Councillor.
You are welcome to come along to our next Full Council meeting to get a better understanding of the role, the next meeting is on Wednesday 14th April 2021 starting at 19.15pm via Zoom, please contact the Clerk for log in details, also for more information regarding the role.

- I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that a casual vacancy exists in the office of
Parish Councillor on the Parish Council of Uplyme - I FURTHER GIVE NOTICE that, subject to the provisions of the above
Rules, any ten electors for the electoral area may give notice requesting
that an election be held to fill such vacancy. Such notice must be in writing
and must be given to:-The Returning Officer

Council Offices
Blackdown House, Heathpark Industrial Estate, Border Road, Honiton, Devon EX14 1EJwithin fourteen days (computed in accordance with Rule 2 of the said
Rules) of the date of publication of this notice. - If no such notice as is referred to in Paragraph 2 above is given the Parish
Council will fill the vacancy as soon as practicable thereafter.
