Would you like to become a Parish
Councillor?
There are many reasons why people stand for
election as a Parish Councillor. Often it is because they want:
- to speak on behalf of their local community and to help local people and represent their needs and concerns
- to pursue their political beliefs and aspirations
- to offer their personal or professional skills to assist the work of the Council
Councillors are elected for 4 year terms of office and if you are interested in becoming a parish councillor, why not take a look at ‘It takes all sorts‘ (NALC Publication) and fThe Electoral Commission –
Guide for Candidates.
You can apply for a Nomination
Pack which needs to be delivered back by hand by the deadline to EDDC at
Honiton at 4.00pm Wednesday, 3rd April 2019.
