The Chairman and members of Uplyme Parish Council wish to express their sincere condolences to Her Majesty the Queen and members of the Royal Family following the death of Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh.
Unfortunately, the playground was closed for half term – this was due to storm damage to the willow tree in the corner. The tree has now been made safe, and the playground is open again.
It has not yet been possible to remove all the cut branches, so please keep an eye on your children while they are playing there.
The Clerk says “While I was there, I picked up 4 drinks bottles, and about a dozen sweet and crisp bags and wrappers, several just dropped on the ground near the litter bin where the boys play informal football. Please help keep Uplyme litter-free and encourage your children not to drop their litter so carelessly.”
