The children’s playground at King George’s Field will be closed for a few days – starting on Friday 18th July: this is because an emergency flood relief channel will be dug along the hedge by the road and then a fence will need to be put up. The new fence should also deter children from entering (or more dangerously – leaving) the playground by pushing through the hedge into the main road.
I know people will be disappointed – but it wouldn’t be safe to have small children playing whilst a digger was working nearby. I hope everyone understands.
And this is what we hope to avoid in future: just over 2 years ago!
