The Neighbourhood Plan Group has just formally published the Draft Plan, after many months of consultation and discussion with interested organisations and local residents alike.
The Plan gives Uplyme the chance to specify more detailed policies than the East Devon Local Plan, for example to influence future planning applications in the Parish, to recommend improvements to highway safety and the preservation of green spaces in the village.
The 8 week consultation period begins on 27 June 2016 and ends on 22 August 2016; all comments must be submitted by this date.
Copies of the Plan and supporting documents will shortly be placed on deposit in the Uplyme Village Hall foyer, the Talbot Arms, the Hunter’s Lodge Inn, Uplyme Church, the Village Shop and the Black Dog Tea Rooms. These reference copies are not to be taken away, or other residents will be deprived of their right to read them. Parish, District and County Councillors also have copies locally.
Please write your comments on the forms provided and return them to the UNP Group, c/o Mrs L Wakeman, Horseman’s Hill Barn, Gore Lane, Uplyme, Lyme Regis DT7 3RJ, or email to lois@lois.co.uk.
